Livin the Dream

For a lot of people my life at the moment would sound crazy.  Why am I using all my savings to go to Thailand and Eat,Train,Sleep-Repeat again and again?!
Not alot of stuff happens. My life is probably pretty boring if I think about it. All the energy I have, is used for training. Im almost not leaving the gym. Seeing the same people everyday, the trainers, fighters and the gym-crew.
This is how I choose to live my life at the moment. Why?
The love and passion to Muay Thai, the fun of the training, to learn new stuff everyday, to feel how I develop in many different ways, TO GET TO FIGHT and knowing that this is just one small road on the way to reaching my GOAL
Right now this is my dream, and I AM LIVING MY DREAM

A normal day would look like this at Por Promin, Hua Hin:
06.30 Alarm is ringing
06.35 Get out of bed, Eat a small meal, morning routines like brushing my theeth and stuff.
07.00 Run 5-8km, back to the gym stretching+skipping+shadowboxing
08.00 Padwork, Bagwork, Techniques, sparring,  situps, pushups+++
09.00/09.30 Proteinshake and electrolytes
10.00 Food at the gym
10.30 Sleep, Chillout or maybe a swim at the pool down the road, make a blogpost, watch some tv, try to study some thai in my thai-book, read a book or do whatever that doesent take a lot of energy.
15.00 wake up again, Eat
16.00 Run 3-5km, back to the gym, then Muay thai, same as in the morning.
18.00-19.00 proteinshake and electrolytes
19.30 Food at the gym
21.00 Go to bed :)

I love that I have time! not only for the training, but also for the recovery as well.
The schedual above is a normal day, but not a everydayer... Like today: I skipped morning training to sleep in. Quality is better than Quantity, and I know my body well enough to know when to take a session or a day of. Afternoontraining is now going to be extra fun with alot of brand new energy.

Power

My rest "day" (it wasent really a day) Gave me my energy back. Love it when I can go all in on the pads, get really tired, but recover during the short break between the rounds and can go on "forever". Just started to really understand Kin. It always takes some time to get used to a new trainer and understand what he wants u to do! But now im getting a grip of it :) And I learn tons. Exited for my fight, really want to put in this new stuff in my fighting game. Por Promin muay thai gym is definitely a place to check out if ur going to train in Thailand. I will write a post about the gym later.

As for mye restingmorning yesterday I ended up beiing sunburned, haha, but whats red, becomes tanned :) Going to hurt clinching...

QuantityVSQuality

Took yesterdays afternoon training and todays morning training of...
Im really tired after alot of good training. My neck hurts after alot of clinching, Ive got blisters under my feet from the running and I am blue here and there from the sparring. Its so much fun to train at the moment so its really hard to convince myself that I have to rest. And its only 6 days to fightnight!

Kin the headtrainer here at por promin has a good training philosophy, he let me sleep through this morning and just smiled and said "Good, now u have power after sleep, charge battery". Many thais have a different way of looking at rest and recovery and at some gyms it doesent really mather how tired u are, cuz u have to train no mather what. wich usually ends up that the body answers in differnet ways, like sickness, fatigue or injuries. Take a day of rest before u get those stupid symptoms.

Worked on my tan instead, just down the road from the gym its a swedish restaurant with a swimmingpool, gonna try their meatballs before I leave.

With two trainingsessions of, I got so much energy again. Now its just to wait until the afternoonsession is starting with new bouncy energy!!!

This trip has been the best! It had everything!
One week after i got here i had a fight in Lamai, the hardest fight first

I won on points

I had great supporters

And training with Cecilia who learn the art of muaythai so fast was the best!

Cecilia&Chai at Kiatkorwit gym, Meanam

Two weeks later i had a fight in Petchbuncha, Chaweng
I won Tko round3
Again great supporters! these we found during fotball-golf the previous day.

Some days holidaying in ao nang and railey with Cecilia check out her blog about her new crazy goal Maraton...
Rockclimbing in Railey, sooooo much fun
And of course we had to test a gym in Ao Nang, Kity Muay thai. sanouk

When Wenche and Alison invited me for the Kylie Minouge concert in Bangkok, both Wenche and I had some training sessions at Petchyindee at lumpenee. sooo good!

And when we where visiting Alison in Phuket, I trained at Passat Muay thai with trainer Peng.

the week of training at 13 coins before my planned hometrip ended up being two! the best place to be :) so many nice people, sooo good trainers, sooo good food, sooo nice gym. cant wait to go back there!
13coins

And then it was the tuff girls audition at Master Toddys gym! three weeks training with alot of good girls and a fight at the end :)
All of the girls inspired me in one way or another. everyone of them gave me something. and by sparring and training with so many girls i learned alot!
I won my fight against cool Paulina from USA(mexico). And I am now in the House!!!

Cant wait to go back in december to see what Master Toddy has planned for the tuff girls ;)

To sleep or not to sleep?

on a ferry, sleep!

but how to know if sleeping or training is the best?

this morning i should have slept! i was to tired to train, it took me 15min skipping and 30min with mr.long before i figured out i diddent get anything out of only doing mistakes. and went for shower and a breakfast.

but how to know if its a normal morning-tiredness that will disapear after 5 minutes warmup?
or if it is a tiredness because the body really needs a rest?

now im going to bed, so i can get ready for the afternoon training.

zzzzzzzz
