Samui, Jun Muay Thai and fatnezze

Safe in Samui! Had 4 sessions at Jun Muay thai in Lamai, lovely. Gosh! how that man really can make u tired... I died at least 7 times...got some quality clinching from Dalia and met some nice people :)
Want to train there more, but its just too far away from where Im spending my time with my wonderful family, Auntie, Cousin and her kids :) We almost booked a fight, but since it will be 45min motorbikedrive*4 a day= 3hours on a motorbike everyday it will be too far away :(

Checking out how time is getting spent tomorrow and see whats coming up... Need to train, wants to fight. And whats up Samui? asking me how I got this fat, and what happened. Thank u Thai-people for beiing so hounest. I guess I ate to much... and hell yeah. No more coconutcurries, FRIEDwathever-food, ICECREAM, sticky-rice, thai-desserts, chock-milk, 7/11-toast and other unhealthy foods. Now Ive had my vacation and mmm, I enjoied it :)

To get "that" fightfeeling

Soonish its fightime.
No exact dates yet, but around next week it is. Went out to see some fight yesterday and by cornering Nim again I really got the fightfeeling. This time she fought a 10kg heavier BOY and lost by points. To bad she didnt got to show how good she really is. She sure is an Idol for me in the ring. Sooo skilled, so much experience, so strong, so technical and so much rutines!

yeah, anyways the fightfeeling does alot with the motivation. I usually have no problem motivating myself to train muay thai, but I definately push myself to RUN. I think of running as the downside to muaythai. I do it, but not because i Love it, I do it because it makes me better in what I love. So getting that fightfeeling and something to think about during the run makes it easier to do 8km in the morning and 4 in the afternoon. arrghhhhh, why the ******* is the Thaifood so delicious?

After this morningrun we did 1 hour of clinching, I love clinch, learned some new stuff today that i am totally sure to use in my upcoming fight <3

Just looked at my last fight as well. Again I only see what I can and should do better.

Livin the Dream

For a lot of people my life at the moment would sound crazy.  Why am I using all my savings to go to Thailand and Eat,Train,Sleep-Repeat again and again?!
Not alot of stuff happens. My life is probably pretty boring if I think about it. All the energy I have, is used for training. Im almost not leaving the gym. Seeing the same people everyday, the trainers, fighters and the gym-crew.
This is how I choose to live my life at the moment. Why?
The love and passion to Muay Thai, the fun of the training, to learn new stuff everyday, to feel how I develop in many different ways, TO GET TO FIGHT and knowing that this is just one small road on the way to reaching my GOAL
Right now this is my dream, and I AM LIVING MY DREAM

A normal day would look like this at Por Promin, Hua Hin:
06.30 Alarm is ringing
06.35 Get out of bed, Eat a small meal, morning routines like brushing my theeth and stuff.
07.00 Run 5-8km, back to the gym stretching+skipping+shadowboxing
08.00 Padwork, Bagwork, Techniques, sparring,  situps, pushups+++
09.00/09.30 Proteinshake and electrolytes
10.00 Food at the gym
10.30 Sleep, Chillout or maybe a swim at the pool down the road, make a blogpost, watch some tv, try to study some thai in my thai-book, read a book or do whatever that doesent take a lot of energy.
15.00 wake up again, Eat
16.00 Run 3-5km, back to the gym, then Muay thai, same as in the morning.
18.00-19.00 proteinshake and electrolytes
19.30 Food at the gym
21.00 Go to bed :)

I love that I have time! not only for the training, but also for the recovery as well.
The schedual above is a normal day, but not a everydayer... Like today: I skipped morning training to sleep in. Quality is better than Quantity, and I know my body well enough to know when to take a session or a day of. Afternoontraining is now going to be extra fun with alot of brand new energy.

Afternoontraining: Skipping, shadow, padwork*5, bagwork*2 and 10*sprints in my new PINK shoes!

Dolly killing it

One of the nakmuays

Jade Marrisa Sirisompan

Found a gym in Buriram that made us happy :) a 3 km run from our hotel, pretty perfect, exept ive got tons of blisters all over my feet, so took a tuk-tuk instead. 20min skipping, 3*10min rounds on the bag, 2*5min rounds on the pads, situps, pushups, hangups, stretching. A nice and easy morning training.
Some food and chill before afternoontraining then out to see one of the nakmuays from the gym fight.

Surin day2

Tuk-Tuk ride to Surin City

Isaan food, chicken, som-tam in different versions and sticky rice

Jade and Dolly

This beautiful, crazy girl came to detoxify herself.
Did a nother 5km run in the afternoon heat, so warm and wet, got like tons of blisters all over my feet. Sucks, cuz i want/need to run! Training was good, but not really as hard as we thougt Isaan-Muaythai would be... Also went down town Surin for some nice Isaan food. Love the food here!

Dolly got here in the morning, and allready going hard on the training :)

No Name Gym Surin

Jade Marissa Sirisompan, me and the crew

Muaythai-Chickens

Look at that floor

Isaan showed us how warm it was. Ive never been running in a heat like this. 5km and about 5liters sweat. Got to the gym, and its sure not like any other gym ive been to. No floor, just a bumpy mud ground, the mat in the ring was fixed about seventy times with different kind of matereal and chickens were running around. Had a fun and easy session with shadow boxing, and some padwork. My legs are still hurting a bit after my fight last week, but soonish ill be good to go.

Two days to go

Had two trainings today and both where good. I was tired before I started both of them, but managed to go through them and got to squeese the last bit of energy out of my self. Many(I didnt count) rounds of padwork and clinching tonight. Ended the session with wai khru training, and that definitely got me in the fightmood.

Its going to be so nice with the day off tomorrow. Ive been training way more than I was planing to the first weeks, but just got to go with the flow. Its been so nice, and at such a great gym, with such great trainers, I just had to :)

My lovely Aunti Wenche is coming tomorrow as well, love to hear her crazy screaming voice while I fight.

Power

My rest "day" (it wasent really a day) Gave me my energy back. Love it when I can go all in on the pads, get really tired, but recover during the short break between the rounds and can go on "forever". Just started to really understand Kin. It always takes some time to get used to a new trainer and understand what he wants u to do! But now im getting a grip of it :) And I learn tons. Exited for my fight, really want to put in this new stuff in my fighting game. Por Promin muay thai gym is definitely a place to check out if ur going to train in Thailand. I will write a post about the gym later.

As for mye restingmorning yesterday I ended up beiing sunburned, haha, but whats red, becomes tanned :) Going to hurt clinching...

QuantityVSQuality

Took yesterdays afternoon training and todays morning training of...
Im really tired after alot of good training. My neck hurts after alot of clinching, Ive got blisters under my feet from the running and I am blue here and there from the sparring. Its so much fun to train at the moment so its really hard to convince myself that I have to rest. And its only 6 days to fightnight!

Kin the headtrainer here at por promin has a good training philosophy, he let me sleep through this morning and just smiled and said "Good, now u have power after sleep, charge battery". Many thais have a different way of looking at rest and recovery and at some gyms it doesent really mather how tired u are, cuz u have to train no mather what. wich usually ends up that the body answers in differnet ways, like sickness, fatigue or injuries. Take a day of rest before u get those stupid symptoms.

Worked on my tan instead, just down the road from the gym its a swedish restaurant with a swimmingpool, gonna try their meatballs before I leave.

With two trainingsessions of, I got so much energy again. Now its just to wait until the afternoonsession is starting with new bouncy energy!!!
